A man’s portion is to enjoy
The fruit of all his labor.
Eat, drink, be merry!
That’s life; there’s not much more.
What use is it if all you do
Is work, work, and work?
Without taking time to enjoy
Though from work you never shirk?
Is it right for you to labor
And others to enjoy its fruits?
Go, take time, breathe in, appreciate!
Make worthwhile all your pursuits!

Our prayers, no matter how little,
Are all heard by God above.
No matter how seemingly insignificant,
They’re treasured by Him, and loved.
You’ll be surprised when He answers some,
When you thought nobody has heard.
That’s why do not lose heart, keep praying,
Even if the answer may be deferred.

Just ‘cuz the clouds loom over you,
Doesn’t mean the sun ain’t there.
Even if you may not see God’s hand,
Trust that He’s there; He cares.
Just ‘cuz you’re in a completely dark tunnel,
Doesn’t mean there’s no light at the end.
Even if you may not understand yet,
You can still on Him trust and depend.

You say one thing
Then you do the other.
You left words of promise
Then you break it right after.
It’s not like you lied,
For you really meant it.
You just don’t know yourself.
You simply can’t do it.
Then stop trying and just leave it
To the One who could do it.
The more you try, the more you find,
You’re wasting time. Why won’t you quit?
The sooner you realize
That you’re not able,
The better it is for Him
To show you that He’s capable.

The little growth slowly but surely,
All the work we let Him do in us hiddenly,
The precious time we spend with Him daily,
Contributes to a miraculous normality.
It’s the little, daily things that matter,
It’s these days that add up after,
Into something much, much greater,
To an eternity lived happily ever after.

It’s the littlest things in everyday,
The miracles hidden in ordinary days,
To which attention we do not pay,
That matters most in every way.
The little laughs we share with others,
The moments we spend beside each other,
The shared interests we do together,
Are the things that we must most remember.

It’s more blessed to give than it is to receive,
To understand than to be understood,
To help someone than it is to be helped,
To be treated badly, yet still do good.

For a bargain, one pays the price,
For he knows it’s the best time to buy.
Likewise we should discern the times,
Don’t let the opportunity go by.
If today you’ll pay the price
To gain the Lord your all to give,
You have all to gain, and dung to lose.
It’s the wisest way to live.

Innocence is good, malice is bad,
However don’t forget the Lord said to us:
Be guileless as doves, yes just like Him,
But be prudent as serpents, that is a must.

Honor your parents —
A commandment with a promise.
Always do so,
Whatever the case is.
You may be right,
They may be wrong,
But still honor them
For to God you belong.
